Greetings. It is an honour to have been given this privilege of writing this message. Firstly, I would like congratulate the webmaster for successfully creating a websie dedicated to our Alma Mater.
Georgians and Georgianas,
As a Lasallian, I am always reminded of how blessed I am to study here, in St. George’s Institution. Our founder, St. John Baptist de La Salle deserves all the credit and gratitude he can have for his initiative to help the poor children on the streets who couldn’t afford education at that time. It was because of his noble heart that we stand here proudly as a Lasallian today.
La Salle was a rich man, but he gave up wealth and fame for he was moved by the plight of the children. His Brothers saw his objective and carried on his work throughout the whole world, resulting in Lasallian Spirit at an international level. But his work did not end there. In fact, at this very moment, we are continuing the work that La Salle began. We are living the story that La Salle wrote centuries ago.
Today, as we live our Georgian life everyday we must realize that we have a responsibility to carry on. We must strive to lift the name of St. George’s up high. We must also be proud that we are part of a big community, where we are all brothers and sisters in La Salle.
Therefore, no matter where we stand we are carrying an image of a Georgian, a Lasallian with us. Whatever we do, we do it for our Alma Mater. To the Georgians today and tomorrow, keep the Georgian flag flying high with pride. I wish you good luck and all the best in everything you do.
Thank you and God bless.
